Prem's Spices Green Cardamom Ground (aka Elaichi) comes from grinding green cardamom seeds. Ground cardamom is used when the spice is added to battered and baked foods while the whole cardamom pods are used to infuse flavour by steeping the pods in liquid.
Cardamom is the most common spice in India and It's also one of the world's most ancient spices, often known as the Queen of Spices. Green Cardamom is not to be confused with Black Cardamom, as green cardamom has a stronger and more intense flavour.
Cooking Suggestions: Green Cardamom ground is added to kheer or payasam and also in biryanis and pulao. Cardamom is also used to flavour masala chai and its presence in Indian cuisine is almost universal.
Green Cardamom goes perfectly with eggplant, carrot, squash and cucumber. It goes ideally with lamb and with poultry and duck. It works wonders with rollmops and pickled herrings.
It will give a powerfully exotic touch to your compotes, fruit salads, citrus sorbets and goes perfectly with pineapple.
Cardamom is cultivated in India and in various countries of Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Vietnam or Sri Lanka, but also in South America.

Gourmet World Foods uses Australia Post, Couriers Please and Aramex delivery service. The minimum shipping cost for a standard delivery service is $10.60. The average shipping cost for a Large Parcel Box is $20.05. The exact cost depends on the order destination as well as its weight and volume. The shipping cost is automatically calculated at checkout and the different costs per service options are also shown at checkout to be selected before payment (Standard or Express Service).
About Australia wide Deliveries: All our products are shipped from our facilities in NSW, Australia. We use a range of carriers, depending on your location and date of order (mainly Australia Post, Couriers Please and Aramex).
-Australia Post and Aramex make one attempt to deliver the parcel. If you are not at home and the delivery attempt is unsuccessful, then you can pick up the parcel from a collection point (your nearest Post office or Aramex local designated collection point).
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AND DELIVERIES:
Apart from Australia, we only ship orders to New Zealand and the United States. International shipping cost is automatically calculated at checkout and it depends on weight, volume and destination.
