Shipping and Delivery Terms

1. SHIPPING TERMS FOR AUSTRALIA WIDE ORDERS:

For orders under $150, Gourmet World Foods uses Australia Post and Aramex delivery services. The minimum shipping cost for a standard delivery service is $8.95. The average shipping cost for a Large Parcel Box is $18.50. The exact cost depends on the order destination as well as its weight and volume. The shipping cost is automatically calculated at checkout and the different costs per service options are also shown at checkout to be selected before payment (Standard or Express Service).

For orders over $150, shipping is free throughout Australia.

About Australia wide Deliveries:

All our products are shipped from our facilities in NSW, Australia.

  • We use a range of carriers, depending on your location and date of order (mainly Australia Post and Aramex).
  • Australia Post and Aramex make one attempt to deliver the parcel. If you are not at home and the delivery attempt is unsuccessful, then you can pick up the parcel from a collection point (your nearest Post office or Aramex local designated collection point).

Estimated Delivery Times Australia wide:

Depending on the selected service at checkout (Standard or Express), the Estimated Delivery Times would be as follows:

-Standard Service: From 2 to 8 Business Days, depending on destination.

-Express Service: From 1 to 4 Business Days, depending on destination.

Gourmet World always provide customers with a tracking number and tracking link sent by SMS and e-mail as soon as the order is ready to send. Thus, the order status and Estimated Time of Arrival can be followed at any stage in real time.

2. LOCAL DELIVERY TERMS:

Gourmet World offers Free Local Deliveries: We consider local deliveries all locations based within a radius of 10Km from our facilities in Rockdale, NSW. No minimum order is required for Local Deliveries.

If your delivery address is up to 10km away from 433-439 Princes Highway, Rockdale NSW 2216, then you will see the Free Local Delivery option automatically at checkout. If you can't see this option, then your location is out of Gourmet World local delivery area.

About Local Deliveries:

Local delivery appears automatically as an option at checkout only if the following requirements are met:

  • The delivery address can be verified at checkout and the location is within 10Km radius from Rockdale, NSW.
  • An accelerated checkout method other than Shop Pay is not used in the first step of the checkout. When using Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, or PayPal quick checkout method, then the delivery option is not available.

Local Delivery FAQs:

How long will it take for my parcel to be delivered on the Local Delivery option?

Local deliveries may be delivered the same day and the maximum delivery time is 2 business days. 

Gourmet World offers this service completely free with no minimum order.  Delivery times will vary depending on a number of factors that we need to consider such as the time when we received the order, the local delivery distance or unpredictable peak periods.

Local delivery times can't be accurately determined, but our promise is to deliver local orders with a lead time of 2 business days.

Which are the Councils in Greater Sydney included within Gourmet World Local delivery area?

We deliver Free in all the Suburbs within the Bayside Council, but also in some suburbs of Georges River, Randwick, Sydney, Canterbury-Bankstown or the Inner West Councils. Please, enter your delivery address at checkout to confirm your Suburb eligibility.

Do I need to be home to receive the delivery?

By default, parcels within our Free Local Delivery program are sent as Authority to leave. That means that our drivers doesn't need to obtain a signature when delivering the parcels. In case no one is at home when our drivers attempt to deliver, they will contact the recipient by phone and SMS and will leave the parcel in a safe place, where is not visible from the street.

Gourmet World Foods is not liable for any loss or damage to the parcel for the orders sent as Authority to leave. Consider to specify clear delivery instructions to minimise risks if no one is at home or opt for a standard paid delivery at checkout.

Are all Gourmet World Local Deliveries Contactless?

Yes, all Gourmet World Local deliveries are Contactless. That means that the products you order are prepared under the health and safety standards recommended by the authorities and all the points of contact between our drivers and customers are minimised or eliminated.

Our driver will leave your order at your door or where requested, will ring or knock and then step back at least 1.5 metres until the parcel is collected.

3. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AND DELIVERIES:

  • Apart from Australia, we only ship orders to New Zealand and the United States.
  • International shipping cost is automatically calculated at checkout and it depends on weight, volume and destination.
  • We may use several carriers, at our sole discretion, to ship international orders.
  • Import duties, taxes, and customs charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.

    These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

    Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
